 What's New at AAA Tourism?

Australian & NZ Auto Clubs Form Trans-Tasman Tourism Partnership:

 

In what represents a major boost for both the Australian and New Zealand inbound and domestic tourism sectors, Australian Motoring Services (AMS) representing each of the State/Territory based Australian Automobile Clubs and the New Zealand Automobile Association (NZAA), have combined resources to form a trans-Tasman tourism partnership.


AMS and NZAA have combined their respective tourism marketing, guide and web operations into a partnership that will trade in Australia under the name AAA Tourism and in New Zealand under the name AA Tourism, effectively becoming one of the South Pacific region’s leading tourism, publishing and media business. STAR Ratings Australia Strategic Review:

AAA Tourism has been undertaking a review of the current Scheme for the Categories of Motels, Tourist/Caravan Park and recently commenced a review for Categories of Hotels, Apartment Hotels, Resorts and Self Catering. The review has been placed on hold whilst a Strategic Review is conducted around the entire STAR Ratings Australia business. This review project will cover all aspects of the business from consumer awareness, brand and marketing, to how the Scheme is  implemented, measured and assessed.   

The proposed changes to Motel and Tourist/Caravan Park Categories are still posted here for your reference. These new criteria will be reassessed within the scope of the Strategic Review.
